Aggression

Biting and drawing blood.

Dash is now 8 weeks old. She has finally learnt her name (well most of the time), and is clicking onto the come command.
As she is only young she has been doing alot of chewing of everything including our hands. Sometimes to the extent of drawing blood. THIS HAS TO STOP. What is the best and quickest way to stop Dash from biting us. We try telling her no and getting her toy to play with, try ignoring her but when she is yapping and snapping at us it is a bit hard. We have also tried barking at her. This works sometimes but only breifly.
What can we do to stop this ASAP? Please help.

Food guarding around small dogs and cats

Hello!

Agression isses NOT FEAR related.

HI - been reading quite a lot about dog aggression and clicker training (click to calm and other vido) . My dog is very confident. When he is aggressive his mouth corners are pushed forward not back in a fear grimace. I am working with a trainer. She and previous trainers agree Jake is a very confident dog and at most times loving and energetic.

Is clicker training effective if aggression is not fear based?

Thanks is advance for advice and help.

Introducing a new dog to our old dog

We have 2 gorgeous female desexed Blue Cattle dogs . Chloe we have had since a puppy she is 17 months old and Lily we have had for a week rescued and she also is 17 months old . They could be sisters .We were told that Lilly was given up because she had food aggression and jumping up on people . When we bought her home she was a jumper but settled down very quickly . The first night we introduced them after 3 hours of separating them . They were fine and then suddenly it was on for young and old ! We separated them again and when they were introduced again,

2 year oldmale cocker spaniel

Hi,
We have recently adopted a 2 year old cocker spaniel as the previous owner was moving house and could not care for him any longer.
He has been with us for 5 weeks and things are not going so well. He is well behaved at home with my self and my partner. But when meeting new people he is becoming more growly and snarly and barks - what seems to be aggresively. I am no too scared to take visitors near him,let alone pat him. He also will growl when we pass people in the street (mainly males).. By partners Dad tried to pat him and he lunged at him and barked growled.

Food guarding

Hello...we have a situation that I wonder if we should correct. Our tiny toy poodle, 4 1/2lb, likes to keep a piece of dog kibble right beside her when she lies around the house. She will pick it up and take it with her when she moves. She has never been agressive toward any human coming near, but if either of our other 2 dogs, a Standard Poodle and a Bichon Frise, comes near she will growl and sometimes even snap. Neither of them are interested in her piece of kibble, but if they even come close she is agressive.

Aggression issues

Hi,
I'm new to this forum. Has been interesting reading...

I have two australian terriers, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 5. I got the boy when he was 8 and the girl when she was 5. They are generally great, however, every now and then have a rather vicious fight. It started originally as I used to let them sleep on the bed. I realised that I was the trigger there, so I removed myself from the night -time picture (no, they did not get the bed!).

walk from hell

Hi. Our Husky is now a little over a year old. When i take him on a walk and if he doesn't like the way we go or if he wants to see another human or dog and i don't let him. He takes a hissy fit. I can not let him near humans, because our trainer says he doesn't trust people. He will snap at anyone that tries to pet him.
He jumps all over me,bites, growls. He literally attacks me. I have the marks all over me to prove it. I have tried to ignore him, make him sit. It doesn't work very well. I could really use some help on what to do?

She hates other dogs!
