Still peeing in the house
Posted February 20th, 2012 by ChloeDash is now 10 weeks old and we have had her for about 3 weeks. Her toilet training seems to go well some days and every night as we have been keeping her in the crate. However during the day she has been peeing in the house. I have been taking her out every two hours at least and giving her positive praise and telling her toilet. She also has free access to go outside herself. However she is not always going toilet when I take her outside and instead is peeing inside, even right infront of me.
Biting and drawing blood.
Posted February 7th, 2012 by ChloeDash is now 8 weeks old. She has finally learnt her name (well most of the time), and is clicking onto the come command.
As she is only young she has been doing alot of chewing of everything including our hands. Sometimes to the extent of drawing blood. THIS HAS TO STOP. What is the best and quickest way to stop Dash from biting us. We try telling her no and getting her toy to play with, try ignoring her but when she is yapping and snapping at us it is a bit hard. We have also tried barking at her. This works sometimes but only breifly.
What can we do to stop this ASAP? Please help.
Learning Name and whinning when out of site
Posted February 1st, 2012 by ChloeI have a Australia Kelpie called Dash who is now 7 weeks old. I have had her for a week.
I understand it is only early days however I have found even though having learnt the sit command and almost having the come command she still does not respond to her name. Is there any particular training methods or things I could do to help her to learn her name?
