Hi, My dog has been diagnosed with EPI in the last six months. For those that don't know it's a pancreatic enzyme deficiency which is controlled by introducing the enzyme in powder form over the dogs food. Since starting this treament my dog has re-gained his original weight, coat and disposition. My problem now is that every scrap of food I give to him has to have this powder on it or his body cannot digest it and we end up with stomach problems. Consequently I haven't fed him any treats since diagnosis because it just upsets his stomach.
I have been receiving the Barking Dog e-course. I cannot begin to tell you the turn around in my dog. He's a 6 year old GSD and when visitors used to come to the door he would jump at the door, bark ferociously and make a complete nuisance of himself. We would have to put him into another room to let people into the house. After following suggestions in the e-course, and with the help of some very brave friends, he now sits well away from the door and perfectly still, he makes no sound at all and he keeps his eyes on me all the time. He barks once or twice as someone knocks on the door, but knows that is enough and he'll get hot-dog treats if he behaves. What a transformation! Thank you soooo much Aidan.
