Secrets of Super Clicking EBook

Hi Aiden,
I got your email about the ebook you were recommended , 4 Secrets of Super Clicking Ebook. I ordered it but haven't been able to download. I've emailed the company but haven't heard from them. Do you know of anyone who has had trouble?
I'm disappointed and little worried. $49.95 is alot for me.
Thanks if you can help-Jen

problem with off-leash dogs

hi,
i've been working awhile with filou to help him become more calm around strangers and dogs using mainly desensitization and redirection, as well as nilif at home and continuing general obedience. he has made great progress on walks as long as the people are quiet and the dogs are well-controlled. we walk in a public area(woodland path) where dogs technically should be leashed.

bridge and target

hi,
wondering if you have familiarity with bridge and target training and/or a website, http://synalia.com/, or Kayce Cover? i found the website in the back of Karen Shanley's book "Dogs of Dreamtime".
thanks,
jen

false alarm update

Hi,
Since I last wrote, Filou's behavior has changed some. Yesterday after asking to go out 3 times, an hour apart(and peeing little bits) I took the bells away. I decided I would take him out 3 hours after the last potty. About 2 hours later he peed on the rug, right in front of me, right next to his bed and toys.
So I figure it's medical, territory marking(tho he has never lifted his leg), or anxiety. There is a stray dog who's been marking up the backyard. I think he is intact, and is a big shepherd mix.

False alarms

Hi,
Filou finally made the connection to ringing the bell to ask to go outside. He's quite reliable, however, he will also ring the bell when he doesnt need to potty but just wants to sniff around or bark at something.
Currently I'm honoring each request, but if he doesn't produce in 2 minutes, he goes back in for a 5 minute time out in the crate.

Sad about doxie's increased aggression

Hi Aidan,
No question this time, just a blog. I just found out from the owner that filou has been growling and snapping at strangers. i don't know how long it's been going on, but between that and the resource guarding, i'm feeling sad. I feel like we both have failed in responsably raising him. He had virtually no socializing, it was so sporadic and even tho we have trainer to work with now, it seems like closing the door after the horse is gone.

10 month old doxie beginning resource guarding

Hi Aidan,
I know you have an article you recommend on this topic, but I can't seem to find it.
It started with a treasure he found on a walk-was able to trade for squeaky ball-but it was the first time he growled at me.
Today he did the same with a turkey neck - this was a new treat for him, he didn't have a problem with beef bones. I was able to trade him for a handful of boiled liver bits.

modifying doxie pup schedule

hi,
the doxie pup is now 10 months old. he doesn't have indoor accidents when i'm supervising him and the owner is catching on for the evening/night time.

owner pleased with positive trainer

Hi
For anyone who remembers my plight of being dog nanny to the beautiful doxie pup who was not being trained by his owner. Good news! We met with a positive-based trainer and now she is thrilled. I geuss she needed to hear from an expert . I hope it lasts because I think Filou might have ended up going down the wrong path in lfe, he was get very bossy. it wasn't enough for me to train Filou, he needed his owner to train him too.

bark busters

Hi
Anybody know anything about Bark Busters.
The owner of Filou and I finally have a trainer coming to the house to help with his housetraining. This trainer is positive based(uses food) and I hope it will work out with the owner. The owner would prefer not to use food in training.
So she was interested in bark busters since they say they use voice and body language only.
Obviously the price is steep-but if she doesnt like tomorrow's experience-she may want to try BB.
Thanks for any input.
Jen
