Very productive session.
Started with loose leash walking, in parallel and towards.
Archie worked with Frankie, walking side by side allowed to find own space very quickly. Jack joined the party, Jack was a little stressed with Archie but it was uneventful.
Sabella and Jack did head-on passes, then we mixed it up a bit. Sabella was behind Jack and lunged, Jack reacted briefly. We continued the exercise and neither dog reacted again.
Loose Leash towards a person holding food -
all dogs completed this exercise with excellent results, especially Koolie. All of them found it a challenge but made very quick progress. Key points - start backing up as soon as slack goes out of leash, then click and BEGIN to return to target as soon as leash goes loose.
With Remus we used Cindy's friend as the target, no food. Remus was very keen to get to her to jump all over her and mouth her sleeve. Remus picked up the idea to BOTH - walk on a loose leash, and SIT politely very quickly. I was thrilled when he turned back to Cindy on his own when the leash went tight on the second trial, anything after that was a bonus.
We might even be able to get rid of the jumping and sleeve biting next week.
