dog eyes

my little dog rastus came to me on the same day my dh died. so he is very special to me. he is 12 years old now and is developing cataracts. i would like to see some petzine articles on dealing with this - gradual loss of vision, medical interventions available, and dealing with day to day things with a dog that is slowly going blind.

He sounds like a very special dog. While I can't comment on medical interventions, I do plan to write an article on assisting and training dogs with disabilities such as vision and hearing impairment.

thank you - that would be great. could you also add some information on canine cognitive dysfunction in older dogs (ie doggie dementia)? seems to be a lot of it around, and my dog is also affected by it.
